Birth date: 17.1.1894 y.

Biography:

...The thunk of his wooden leg always proceeds his happy and carefree disposition...

When war broke out, Christopher felt compelled to enlist and left his civilian post as a second class Steward aboard the RMS Olympic, joining the 2nd Northamptonshire Regiment.
During the Second Battle of Ypres he was severely injured and lost his right leg below the knee in the brutal fighting, a wound that could have ended his service and his life. However, after a miracle surgery and a period of painful rehabilitation, Christopher adapted to life with an artificial leg.
Instead of retiring from the war effort, Christopher returned to service aboard the HMHS Britannic, once again part of the Victualling Department.
