Biography:

A Colombian-Scottish woman in her early 20s working as a stewardess aboard HMHS Britannic.
She was born into a working class family of four children that does carpentry and smithing for living in the outskirts of Maryport. Her family consists of three sisters, including herself and a brother. She is the youngest child of the family until her parents had another child who turned out to be a girl. Due to this, she along with her sisters were put to help with carpentry and smithing works where, at the time, were male-dominant jobs. She later took interest in carpentry and often worked in her father’s workshop.

Due to her parents’ negligence and bare interactions with adults, she was never given proper speech training. The issue also persisted into her later life where communication is essential. She however does not have any issues with writing which led to her carrying a personal notepad or notebook which she will use to communicate instead. In later censuses where her name is present, she is always listed as ‘Dumb’.

Growing up without speech training, she had to express her feelings and thoughts in her diary. She never attended school and only worked at her home until she was 17, when her father sent her out to work at his friend’s sawmill. She retained working as a carpenter for three years and during her time there, she learned a few words but not sufficient enough for a sentence. She later left and returned home after her father passed away while her mother fell ill. While most of siblings had already left home, she and her younger sister remained with their mother for a good year until her death.

Shortly after her mother’s death. She returned to her adult life at the age of 21 and moved away to Manchester. She manages to befriend a few people, who she really trusted. One of her friends, who works aboard an ocean liner, encourages her and invites her to shipboard work. Thus, the beginning of her stewardess career aboard ocean liners. She served aboard the Baltic while she’s still in passenger service, where she witnessed a collision in November of 1914. Despite her role as a stewardess, due to her lack of speech, she was mostly restricted from service duty and retained to other steward duties that had minimal to zero passenger interactions. Nevertheless, she continued to work aboard ocean liners and was transferred to Adriatic after Baltic was requisitioned as a troop transport.

Her career aboard Britannic began after her friend voluntarily served aboard a hospital ship in which she followed suit. They remained with Britannic ever since her first trip up until her sixth trip where her friend was unexpectedly discharged due to an illness.

In terms of her physical appearance. She appears to be standing at approximately 5’5/1.65. She has brown round eyes, a black shoulder length smooth hair, often tied. She has an olive skin tone and her body is lanky.
