Born in 1878 to a Family of Army Medics & Doctors in Fife Scotland, Devin would set out to join the British Army. In 1897 Devin would attend the Royal Military College Sandhurst for Officer Training for the newly soon to be formed RAMC. He would pass his officer training and would join the RAMC as a General Service Medical Officer gaining the rank of Captain. In 1899 he would serve in the Boer War and would work on the RFA Maine until the end of the Boer War. He would recieve the Royal Red Cross & Distinguished Conduct Medal for his services. After the end of the Boer War. He would then be stationed at the Royal Hospital Haslar Until 1914 when war broke out on western front. He would be transferred onto the HMHS Alexandra as a General Service Medical Officer and in 1915 would be transferred to the HMHS Britannic where he is currently serving onboard as a GSMO to this day.
