Evelyn Lindsay was born on March 18, 1893, in London, England. Adele was born into an ordinary middle-class family. Her father is a secretary for a local owner of large businesses and industrial enterprises, and her mother worked in a library.   Adele received a good education by attending a boarding school for girls. Growing up, the girl was passionate about art and music, as well as literature and reading. Since childhood, the girl has adored small dogs, and she will have 23 dogs in her lifetime. After graduation, the girl began working part-time for her mother in the library. The girl did not waste time in the library either, but tried to combine work in the library with reading interesting books. Among the many cabinets and books, Evie seemed to feel in the right place, and that's where she made new acquaintances.

But at the beginning of the First World War, the girl voluntarily joined the service as a Red Cross nurse, after which she was sent to the hospital ship of the White Star Line company, where she helped to carry out minor operations.

В Девочка взрослела, была увлечена искусством и музыкой, а так же литературой и чтением. С самого детства девочка обожала маленьких собачек, за свою жизнь у нее будет 23 собаки. После окончания учебы, девочка начала подрабатывать у матери в библиотеке. В библиотеке девочка времени тоже не теряла, а пыталась работу в библиотеке сочетать с чтением интересны книг. Среди множества шкафов и книг, Эви словно чувствовала себя на нужном месте, там же она и обзавелась новыми знакомствами.

Но началом Первой мировой войны девушка добровольно присоединилась к службе медсестрой Красного Креста, после чего ту направили на госпитальное судно компании «White Star Line», где она помогала проводить мелкие операции.
